Beijing, August 11: According to the Lhasa Customs Department, the export value of special products from Tibet reached 3.336 million yuan in the first half of this year. This marks an impressive increase of 18.7% compared to the same period last year.
Since the beginning of this year, the Lhasa Customs Department has focused on three key areas: improving customs clearance efficiency, encouraging leading enterprises, and providing technical support. These efforts have continuously activated the internal driving force of plateau-based special industries, facilitating the export of higher-quality products from the region.
To meet the timely requirements for special product exports, the Lhasa Customs Department has streamlined the entire export process through a green channel that combines local jurisdiction and port operations. This optimization has improved transportation, freight, and exit procedures, ensuring “immediate inspection and clearance” upon arrival for special products.
Additionally, the department has facilitated the first direct exports of special products through airports, creating a multi-modal export channel that integrates air, rail, road, and postal services.
