Guwahati, June 3: A significant opportunity has emerged for youth preparing for job placements. The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar has officially announced job openings for various positions, including Medical Officer. They invite applications from eligible citizens across the country.
The seven vacancies released by NIT include one Registrar, one Librarian, one Assistant Librarian, one Executive Engineer, one Medical Officer, and two Technical Assistants.
The online application process began on June 1 and will close on June 30. Candidates wishing to apply for these positions can submit their registration forms on the official NIT Silchar portal before the deadline.
After successfully applying online, candidates must send a hard copy of their application in an envelope addressed to “Registrar, National Institute of Technology Silchar, Post Office, NIT Silchar, Cachar, Assam – 788 010” by July 15 or earlier.
Applicants must possess relevant qualifications: a postgraduate degree for the Registrar position, a Master’s in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation for Librarian and Assistant Librarian roles, a BE/BTech in Civil/Electrical Engineering for the Executive Engineer position, an MBBS degree or equivalent for the Medical Officer role, and a BE/BTech/MCA in a related field for Technical Assistants. Additionally, candidates should have the required years of experience and other specified skills for all positions.
The maximum age limit for applicants ranges from 30 to 56 years, calculated based on the application deadline. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.
Selected candidates will receive salaries according to their respective positions, along with additional benefits and allowances.
While filling out the application form, candidates must pay the designated application fee online: ₹1,200 for UR/OBC/EWS categories and ₹600 for SC/ST/PWD and women.
