Kolkata, March 14: Excitement is palpable among BJP workers ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to West Bengal. Supporters from various regions are making their way to Kolkata, eager to attend the Brigade rally. They expressed their anticipation, stating, “Prime Minister Modi is coming to the Brigade rally, and we are going to listen to him.”
Images have emerged from areas like Bashirhat, Kanthi, Durgapur, and Sundarbans, showcasing BJP workers carrying banners and party flags as they head to the rally. Supporters from Kanthi and Durgapur have already set off for the Brigade Parade Ground to join the event. Meanwhile, BJP workers and supporters from remote regions of Sundarbans, including Sagar, Namkhana, and Patharpratima, have begun crossing rivers by boat to reach Kolkata.
BJP workers from various parts of Bashirhat are arriving in Kolkata by bus and boat. One worker shared, “We are traveling by boat through Sundarbans because PM Modi is coming to the Brigade rally. We are going there to listen to him.”
BJP supporters have also leveled serious allegations against the current government in Tamil Nadu, claiming rampant corruption and theft under its rule. They pointed out that even the rice allocated for the people has been pilfered.
Another BJP supporter remarked, “People from different areas and communities are coming together to participate in the rally.”
BJP leader Dilip Ghosh commented on Prime Minister Modi’s Kolkata visit, stating, “Before every major election, the Prime Minister makes a tour. The BJP often forms alliances with other parties when possible, and if no suitable alliance is available, we contest elections alone.”
During his visit, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation for development projects worth approximately ₹18,680 crores. These projects encompass various sectors, including road infrastructure, railways, ports, and shipping. He will also inaugurate six redeveloped railway stations in West Bengal under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. PM Modi is scheduled to arrive in Kolkata around 2 PM.
