New Delhi, June 1: The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has issued an official notification inviting applications for a total of 1,979 positions across various departments, including the Junior Scientific Assistant role.
Among the 1,979 vacancies, there are 44 positions for Junior Scientific Assistant (Biology), 18 for Junior Scientific Assistant (Ballistics), 37 for Junior Scientific Assistant (Chemistry), 12 for Junior Scientific Assistant (Lie Detection Method), 15 for Junior Scientific Assistant (Documents), 5 for Junior Scientific Assistant (Human Resource Management/Quality Control), 14 for Junior Scientific Assistant (Photography), 81 for Junior Scientific Assistant (Cyber Forensics), 46 for Junior Scientific Assistant (Crime Scene/District Mobile Forensic Unit), 1 for Junior Scientific Assistant (Fingerprint), and 16 for Junior Scientific Assistant (Physics).
Additionally, there are 1 position for Technical Assistant (Hindi) and 4 for Assistant Archivist Grade-I from the Delhi Archives Department; 125 positions for IT Assistant Grade-A from the Information Technology Department; and various roles from the New Delhi Municipal Council, including 36 for Fitter Grade-II, 13 for Lift Operator, and others. The Education Directorate is also hiring 675 Trained Graduate Teachers (Computer Science), 129 Home Science Teachers, and 450 Special Education Teachers, among others.
The online application process will commence on June 16 at 12 PM, with the last date to apply set for July 15. Eligible candidates wishing to apply for these positions can submit their registration forms on the DSSSB official portal once the application link is activated.
Candidates must possess relevant qualifications such as BE/BTech, BSc, MCA, Master’s degrees, or other specified certifications from recognized institutions. Additionally, candidates should have the required years of experience and other eligibility criteria as specified.
The minimum age for applicants is 18 years, while the maximum age varies from 27 to 37 years depending on the position. Age calculations will be based on the last date of application, with age relaxation applicable for candidates from reserved categories.
Selection of eligible candidates will be based on a computer-based test (CBT), a one-tier general/technical examination, merit list, and document verification. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹5,200 to ₹1,42,400 based on the position.
When filling out the application form, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee, which is set at ₹100 for General (UR)/OBC/EWS male candidates. However, SC/ST/PWD/Ex-servicemen and women are exempt from the registration fee.
