
New Delhi, March 9: Under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav, Team India has made history by winning the ICC T20 World Cup for the third time. The team has received congratulations not only from the sports community but also from various political figures. In a unique gesture, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) extended its congratulations to the Indian team.
Posting on its official X handle, DMRC stated, “From the cricket pitch to the lifeline of the city, it’s all about reaching the destination in the best way possible. Heartfelt congratulations to Team India for their magnificent victory in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.”
Political leaders, including President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, have also congratulated the team on their World Cup triumph.
The Vice President of India took to social media platform X to express, “Congratulations to Team India for winning the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup once again and retaining the title. With a historic performance in the finals, India has become the first team to win three ICC Men’s T20 World Cup titles, a proud moment for the nation. Best wishes to the entire team, support staff, and the millions of fans whose unwavering support has led to this remarkable achievement. The entire country is celebrating this fantastic victory with immense pride.”
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari wrote on X, “History roars in blue again! Team India has conquered the world once more, winning the ICC Men’s T20 International World Cup for the third time at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Sanju, Abhishek, Ishan, Surya, Bumrah, Shivam, Hardik, Axar, and the team didn’t just win; they defeated history and repeated it. Fearless cricket, unwavering belief, and relentless enthusiasm turned that night into a festival for billions of hearts. Once again champions, proving that on the biggest stage, Team India’s roar grows louder and stronger with every victory.”
BJP MP Baijayant Jay Panda congratulated the team, stating, “Team India’s World Cup victory! Congratulations to the Men in Blue for their stunning win over New Zealand in the T20 World Cup final. With exceptional batting from Sanju Samson, Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Shivam Dube, disciplined bowling from Jasprit Bumrah and Axar Patel, and sharp fielding throughout, it was a remarkable all-round performance.
