NDA Leaders Criticize Opposition in Bihar, Claiming It Undermines Democratic Institutions

NDA leaders in Bhagalpur accuse the opposition of undermining democracy and creating confusion among the public.

Bhagalpur, November 2 (Daily Kiran) : During a recent march titled “Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy” in Bhagalpur, leaders from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) launched a scathing attack on the Congress party and other opposition groups. They accused the opposition of attempting to sow confusion among the public by questioning the integrity of India’s democratic and constitutional institutions following their repeated electoral defeats.

The march saw sharp comments directed at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, particularly regarding his statements that allegedly incite youth and tarnish the image of constitutional bodies. BJP leader Mrityunjay Tiwari claimed there is a rivalry between Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi, suggesting that the Gandhi family is divided over political ambitions.

Bihar’s Minister of State for Environment and Forests, Deepak Prakash, responded to Gandhi’s remarks by asserting that the opposition is drawing inspiration from instances of violent power struggles. He emphasized that India’s Constitution and democratic traditions are robust, asserting that such attempts by the opposition will ultimately fail.

Prakash stated, “The opposition is trying to draw lessons from places where violent revolutions have occurred. However, our constitutional framework and democratic traditions are strong. Their efforts will not succeed.” He further noted that after facing defeats in elections, the opposition has attempted to disrupt the atmosphere in the country by raising various issues, including questioning electronic voting machines and now inciting youth for political gain.

Minister Prakash highlighted that the opposition’s actions aim to create chaos and diminish public trust in constitutional institutions. He mentioned that the NDA is actively working to raise awareness among the public against these tactics.

Tiwari also criticized the Gandhi family, stating that Rahul and Sonia Gandhi do not want Priyanka to advance within the party, indicating a sibling rivalry that is evident in their political maneuvering.

Bihar Minister Nitish Mishra spoke about the objectives of the “Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy” march, accusing the opposition of spreading confusion and undermining the image of constitutional bodies. He reiterated that the NDA’s message is clear: democracy is intact in the country, and the constitutional framework is strong.

Meanwhile, Minister Santosh Suman remarked that the Congress has been making statements against the Constitution and its institutions for the past couple of months. He accused the opposition of trying to create an atmosphere of confusion and chaos in the country.

Suman stated, “The message is very clear. The Congress has been making statements against the Constitution and constitutional institutions, attempting to create chaos by spreading confusion. In response, all NDA allies have come together to organize this awareness program.”
