Mumbai, July 28: Popular television actor Dheeraj Dhooper has exited from ‘Lockup Season 2’. In an exclusive interview, he shared that he never played the game based on anyone else’s influence.
He accused fellow actor Harshad Chopda of taking the show too personally, stating that he should have approached it more rationally. Dhooper remarked, “Was my industry different from his? I don’t know. Why did he suddenly remember his community after coming on the show? He made it very personal. Perhaps he didn’t realize this is just a game, and everyone came to play their own game.”
Dhooper also revealed that Harshad often tried to sway his decisions. On crucial occasions, he urged Dhooper to choose Shivangi, but Dhooper consistently made his own choices. He added that Shivangi is a good friend, which is why she was his priority, not because of Harshad’s suggestions.
“I made it clear to Harshad from day one that I am not playing this game because of him. He cannot dictate who my priority should be. Shivangi is my priority not due to Harshad, but because she is my good friend. However, Harshad has consistently misrepresented this,” Dhooper stated.
After Harshad’s exit from the show, Dhooper commented, “If he had to take things so personally and make such gestures, I don’t understand the kind of language and behavior he was exhibiting. This is just a game. He should have accepted it with wisdom and maturity. If I voted him out, I had my own reasons.”
Dhooper also claimed that after a task, Harshad made contradictory statements about Shivangi’s performance, both on and off-camera, indicating a lack of consistency in his remarks.
