Ujjain, June 8: On the auspicious occasion of the eighth day of the Krishna Paksha in Jyeshtha month, the Mahakaleshwar Temple hosted a magnificent Bhasma Aarti, adorning Baba Mahakal in a regal form. The temple doors opened at 4 AM, and as the divine adornment and Bhasma Aarti commenced, devotees were left in awe upon witnessing Baba’s presence.
With the opening of the temple doors, amidst the chanting of mantras, Baba Mahakal was bathed with Panchamrit, a sacred mixture made from milk, yogurt, ghee, sugar, and fruit juices. The deity was adorned with a sandalwood tilak and jewelry, presented in a royal manner.
The temple priests conducted the Mahaarati, and a large number of devotees gathered to witness the Bhasma Aarti of Baba Mahakal. Many devotees were seen standing in long queues since late at night, eager to have a glimpse of their beloved deity.

As the doors swung open, the entire complex resonated with chants of “Jai Shri Mahakal.” The temple premises were filled with the sounds of bells, conch shells, and the recitation of mantras.
