Delhis LPG Supply Remains Stable, Assures Chief Minister Rekha Gupta

New Delhi, April 5: Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has reassured residents of Delhi that the supply of domestic and commercial LPG is completely stable, sufficient, and under control. She clarified that there is no shortage of LPG or any other fuel in the national capital. The Chief Minister urged the public to avoid panic and remain calm amidst any rumors.

On April 3, a total of 111,504 LPG bookings were recorded across Delhi, while the three oil marketing companies delivered 126,379 cylinders, significantly exceeding the bookings.

This indicates that the backlog is being cleared swiftly and the supply chain is functioning smoothly. Currently, the average delivery time for domestic LPG cylinders in Delhi has improved to 4.37 days, ensuring timely and reliable gas cylinder availability for consumers.

To curb black marketing and hoarding, the government has established a control room (011-23379836 and 8383824659) that is continuously monitoring the situation and responding promptly to complaints. Based on reliable information, several cases have been forwarded to the Delhi Police control room, leading to 22 raids at various locations.

During these operations, an FIR was registered in the North Rohini police station area, where six illegally stored LPG cylinders were seized. The Chief Minister emphasized that the government remains vigilant against any illegal activities and will continue to take strict action.

She stated that the government is closely monitoring the situation to ensure uninterrupted LPG supply and that strict measures will be taken against any violations. The Chief Minister advised Delhi residents not to crowd gas agencies or LPG depots. Once a cylinder is booked, it will be delivered directly to the consumer’s home within the scheduled time, eliminating the need to visit distribution centers, which could cause unnecessary inconvenience.

Rekha Gupta reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring a seamless LPG supply and appealed to citizens to maintain peace, avoid panic, and cooperate with the administration.
