New Delhi, August 7: The Delhi Police successfully resolved a robbery incident in the Nabi Karim area within four hours. Three individuals, including two history sheeters, have been arrested in connection with the crime. Authorities reported that the suspects committed the robbery to meet their personal financial needs.
On Wednesday evening around 6 PM, the police received information regarding the robbery at Nabi Karim Police Station. A police team promptly arrived at the scene. The complainant stated that he had come to Nabi Karim with his son to purchase materials for making bags. They had brought approximately 45,000 to 46,000 rupees from home. After buying bag-making supplies worth 3,500 rupees from a shop, they placed the remaining cash and the purchase receipt in the right pocket of the complainant’s pants.
Around 5:45 PM, while passing through Neem Wala Chowk, three unknown youths surrounded them. One suspect grabbed the complainant’s leg, another attempted to snatch cash from his pocket, and when he resisted, the third suspect pushed him to the ground. The assailants forcibly took 40,000 rupees and the purchase receipt.
According to the police, the complainant managed to catch one of the suspects while pursuing them. During the scuffle, the robber attempted to hand over the stolen cash to his accomplices, causing most of the cash to fall onto the street. The complainant later retrieved the fallen money, but some cash was successfully taken by the fleeing suspect.
Acting swiftly on the information, the police identified, located, and arrested all three suspects. During the search, they recovered the stolen cash and other items. Throughout the ongoing interrogation, all suspects admitted their involvement in the robbery.
In a separate incident, the Delhi Police arrested two vehicle thieves in the Ghazipur area, solving five cases. The suspects were found in possession of two stolen mobile phones, two motorcycles, and a button knife.
