New Delhi, August 7: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet the newly elected NDA Members of Parliament for breakfast on Friday morning, ahead of the upcoming parliamentary session.
According to sources, this meeting will serve as an opportunity for introductions and discussions among the newly elected MPs. Topics are expected to include parliamentary procedures, the responsibilities of legislators, and the government’s strategy for the upcoming session. Additionally, the role of MPs in ensuring smooth parliamentary operations and effectively raising issues related to their constituencies may also be discussed.
Invitations have been sent to the new NDA MPs, including members from the NCP-I. The NCP-I has the support of TMC MPs who have backed the NDA. MPs who recently joined the faction led by Eknath Shinde, having split from the Shiv Sena (UBT), have also been invited to this meeting.
This meeting is part of Prime Minister Modi’s ongoing engagement with MPs. The aim is to strengthen coordination within the ruling coalition and ensure greater participation during parliamentary proceedings.
The meeting comes at a time when Prime Minister Modi had breakfast discussions with 37 BJP MPs at his official residence on Wednesday, as part of his continuous outreach campaign during the monsoon session.
This informal gathering was organized to enhance coordination within the party and exchange ideas on governance and parliamentary matters. Sources indicate that the Prime Minister shared personal experiences with the MPs and engaged in informal discussions on various issues.
Attendees of Wednesday’s meeting included BJP MPs associated with the NCP-I alliance, former AAP leaders who later joined the BJP, and senior BJP leaders Tarun Chugh, Vinod Tawde, and BJP chief Nitin Naveen.
During the discussions, Prime Minister Modi advised MPs to avoid getting caught in the “narrative trap of Delhi” and to maintain cordial relations with opposition members.
Emphasizing the importance of active participation in parliamentary proceedings, the Prime Minister urged MPs to make effective use of their time in learning and working towards a brighter future for the country.
