New Delhi, August 17: In a significant organizational shift, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has appointed Deepak Mhaskey as the new head of its IT Cell, replacing Amit Malviya. This announcement was made on Monday, along with a complete list of new national office bearers, effective immediately.
In the social media team, Preeti Gandhi, Shivanand Dwivedi, Alok Bhatt, and Arun Yadav have been appointed as co-coordinators.
Amit Malviya has led the BJP IT Cell for over a decade. Deepak Mhaskey, a former chemistry professor, has been associated with the BJP’s Chhattisgarh unit for several years.
Malviya congratulated the newly appointed officials, stating, “Their appointments come at a crucial time as the party prepares to reach new heights and expand its message and organization across the country.”
He specifically congratulated Mhaskey, saying, “I want to extend my best wishes to Deepak Mhaskey, who will take over as the head of the BJP’s social media department, along with co-coordinators Preeti Gandhi, Shivanand Dwivedi, Alok Bhatt, and Arun Yadav.”
Malviya expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with them over the past decade. He expressed confidence that under the new leadership, the BJP’s digital communication will achieve new milestones and continue to shape public debate in India with assurance, creativity, and clarity.
Thanking the party’s supporters and followers on social media, Malviya said, “A heartfelt thank you to the large base of BJP supporters on social media. This community is filled with commitment, energy, and new ideas. This family has stood together through good and bad times and has played a crucial role in reshaping public debate in India. You have been a tremendous source of strength for me personally and for this cause. During my 11-year tenure, I had the opportunity to meet and converse with many of you, and those conversations will always be special.”
He expressed hope that BJP’s social media followers will continue to provide ‘full support’ to the party and its successors in the coming years.
Malviya concluded, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP, India is ready to achieve even greater heights. Your contributions will be remembered and written in golden words.”
