Congress Vows to Continue Fight Against Vote Theft Until BJP is Removed from Power

Congress spokesperson Surendra Rajput pledges to combat alleged vote theft by the BJP, criticizing political maneuvers and calling for accountability.

Lucknow, October 14 (Daily Kiran) : Congress spokesperson Surendra Rajput has declared that the party will persist in its battle against what it calls “vote theft” until the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is ousted from power. His comments came during a response to recent political activities involving the BJP, Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Akhilesh Yadav, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

Rajput reacted to the recent defection of three legislators, including Rakesh Pratap Singh, to the BJP. He stated, “From the Prime Minister’s Office to the Chief Minister’s Office, BJP members are attempting to push an agenda through their ecosystem, encouraging SP legislators to join their ranks. These rebel SP legislators had already switched to the BJP a year and a half ago. The truth is that BJP leaders are now eager to join the Indi Alliance.”

He emphasized that the fight against what he termed a “vote-thieving government” would continue until the Prime Minister relinquishes his position. Rajput accused the BJP of establishing its government through “vote theft, plunder, and robbery” and vowed to keep up the pressure until Gyanesh Kumar resigns from his role as Chief Election Commissioner.

On the topic of Om Prakash Rajbhar, Rajput labeled him as the most opportunistic figure, stating, “Rajbhar has deceived multiple parties, including BSP and SP, only to switch allegiances for personal gain. He is misleading his own community.”

In a recent statement, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath remarked that previous disturbances had overshadowed celebrations, whereas now, people are filled with enthusiasm. Rajput countered this by citing National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) data, which indicates a rise in crimes against women in Uttar Pradesh. He claimed that under BJP rule, there has been an increase in the oppression of Dalits and violent incidents in courts, jails, and hospitals.

Regarding the arrests of CJP leaders Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das, Rajput accused BJP members of perpetrating atrocities against the community, asserting that the nation is watching. He urged the Prime Minister to take notice, warning that the community would respond if their rights continued to be violated.
