New Delhi, August 6: BJP MP Naresh Bansal addressed several issues, including the changes in Jammu and Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370, the recent busting of ISI-backed terrorist modules in Amritsar, student protests, and the controversy surrounding donations at the Ayodhya Ram Temple.
Bansal highlighted the significant development in Jammu and Kashmir since the removal of Article 370. He stated, “A lot has changed in Jammu and Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370. Currently, projects worth ₹2 lakh crore are underway. Two AIIMS have been established, providing employment opportunities and reducing unemployment.”
He noted, “The youth in the valley are excelling in sports and other fields. They are participating and performing well at the national level. Overall development is taking place since the removal of Article 370, despite occasional incidents of terrorism that do not overshadow progress. Everyone is joining the development narrative.”
Regarding the recent busting of two ISI-backed terrorist modules by Amritsar police and the arrest of nine suspects, Bansal praised the central government‘s actions. He remarked, “The NIA is actively working against such activities and identifying ISI modules in various locations. Wherever they are found, action is being taken to eliminate them. This government is bringing these networks, which have been expanding since the Congress era, under control.”
When asked about student protests, the BJP MP responded, “The government is attentive to the students’ demands. Regarding their protests, they may have gone on hunger strikes to voice their concerns related to transparency and allegations of job sales. They want the government to address these issues. It’s possible that some discussions have taken place with the government. If they have ended their protests, I believe that is a positive development.”
On the Ayodhya temple donation controversy, he stated, “The opposition has no issues to raise, so they are bringing this up. Immediate action has been taken by the trust regarding this matter. Chief Minister Yogi has taken steps, and an SIT has been formed. Eight individuals are in jail without bail. The opposition should wait for the SIT report instead of attempting to insult Sanatan.”
