Sanjay Nishad Critiques Akhilesh Yadavs Leadership Amid Political Tensions in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow, October 2 (Daily Kiran) : Dr. Sanjay Nishad, the Minister for Fisheries in the Uttar Pradesh government, addressed recent comments and allegations made by Akhilesh Yadav, as well as remarks from Mayawati and Asaduddin Owaisi. Speaking in Lucknow, Nishad emphasized that while Yadav is a prominent leader, he seems preoccupied with trivial matters. “He is a big leader but is stuck on issues like kachori and pakodi. The focus should be on youth and ideology,” he stated.

Nishad highlighted the dominance of a particular community within the 27% OBC quota, suggesting that this has led to the marginalization of others. He accused the opposition of diverting attention from critical issues. “What was the law and order situation before 2017? What was the development status? How safe were women and girls? Voters consider these factors when they head to the polls,” he added. He believes that the shortcomings of previous administrations weigh heavily on public perception, leading to a preference for the BJP.

Regarding Mayawati’s criticisms of Yadav, Nishad remarked, “Her definition of PDA seems to be the ‘Family Development Authority.’ She should have given the Rajya Sabha ticket to a worker instead of keeping it within her circle. It’s an opportunity to empower those lacking influence.”

On the ‘India’ alliance’s protests, Nishad claimed that those aligning with Congress are facing defeat. “Parties may appear united, but they are internally conflicted,” he noted.

In response to Owaisi’s comments on the Uniform Civil Code, Nishad reiterated that the country operates under the Constitution, not religion. “The constitutional framework provides for the general, backward, and scheduled classes. People are allowed to promote their faith,” he said.

Addressing Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s remarks on police training, Nishad pointed out the increase in training centers and improved recruitment. “This has led to better safety and law enforcement. The situation is much improved now,” he concluded.
