CM Fadnavis Calls Rahul Gandhi Most Rejected Goods in Indian Politics

Mumbai, May 11: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis launched a sharp attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, labeling him as the “most rejected goods” in Indian politics.

During a media interaction, CM Fadnavis stated, “Rahul Gandhi is the most rejected goods in Indian politics. He has been rejected everywhere, in every state. The nation stands with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and continuously blesses him.”

This statement came in the wake of Prime Minister Modi’s appeal to citizens to conserve fuel, reduce foreign travel, and postpone unnecessary gold purchases amid a global energy crisis and rising tensions in West Asia. Modi urged the public to utilize public transport more, adopt work-from-home practices, and promote indigenous products.

Speaking at a rally in Hyderabad, PM Modi emphasized the importance of conserving foreign currency in the current global scenario. He requested people to refrain from buying gold and traveling abroad for a year, describing it as part of “economic patriotism.”

In response to the Prime Minister’s appeal, Rahul Gandhi took to the social media platform X, stating, “PM Modi asked the public to make sacrifices. Don’t buy gold, don’t travel abroad, reduce petrol consumption, cut down on fertilizers and cooking oil, use the metro, work from home. These are not just suggestions; they are evidence of failure. In 12 years, the country has reached a point where the public needs guidance on what to buy, where to go. Every time, responsibility is placed on the public to evade accountability. Running the country is no longer within the capabilities of a ‘compromised PM’.”

Meanwhile, BJP leaders argue that the Prime Minister’s appeal is a responsible step towards keeping the country economically strong amid global crises. The party claims that public cooperation is essential given the rising oil prices, supply crises, and war conditions in West Asia.
