Mumbai, March 21: Citroen India has announced a significant price reduction for its Basalt Coupe SUV this month. The company is offering a discount of ₹1.15 lakh on this model, which now starts at an ex-showroom price of ₹8.55 lakh. This marks an increase from its previous price of ₹8.15 lakh, reflecting a rise of ₹40,000 or 4.91% depending on the variant.
The Basalt SUV competes directly with the Tata Curve in the Indian market. Citroen’s pricing strategy seems aimed at attracting more buyers amidst rising competition.

Inside, the Basalt mirrors the C3 Aircross layout, featuring a dashboard design and a 10.25-inch central touchscreen. Unlike the Aircross, it includes a fully digital 7.0-inch instrument display.
