New Delhi, September 17 (Daily Kiran) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi is celebrating his 76th birthday today, September 17, 2026, with various events taking place across the country. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan‘ to mark both the Prime Minister’s birthday and his 25 years in public service. As part of the celebrations, a motorcycle rally is being organized from Varanasi, Modi’s parliamentary constituency, to his birthplace in Vadnagar.
At an event in Varanasi, Chirag Paswan, the leader of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), extended birthday wishes to Modi on behalf of himself and his party. He emphasized that the Prime Minister has garnered immense love and support from the public over the past 25 years, which continues to inspire trust among a significant portion of the population. Paswan remarked that Modi’s vision is to propel the nation down the path of development.
Paswan also announced that his party has planned a journey from Varanasi to Vadnagar to connect the public with Modi’s vision of a “Developed India.” Approximately 500 bikers are expected to participate in this rally.
Anil Rajbhar, a minister from Uttar Pradesh, confirmed that preparations for the motorcycle rally are complete. Several prominent leaders, including Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Chirag Paswan, and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, are expected to attend the event. Rajbhar noted that the youth are excited to embark on this journey from the Prime Minister’s parliamentary constituency to his birthplace.
Dayashankar Mishra, another minister, highlighted the festive atmosphere in Kashi on the Prime Minister’s birthday, stating that around 500 young individuals are traveling from Kashi to Vadnagar. This journey aims to connect Modi’s birthplace with his political stronghold.
In Nainital, BJP MP Ajay Bhatt also conveyed his best wishes to the Prime Minister, mentioning the celebratory mood across the nation with various events being organized. He noted that many people are praying for Modi’s long life, good health, and prosperity.
Shyam Rajak, the national general secretary of the Janata Dal (United), also congratulated Modi, acknowledging his continuous efforts for the country’s progress as he enters his 76th year.
Rajiv Ranjan, the national spokesperson for JD(U), remarked on Modi’s public life, emphasizing its connection to service and commitment. He noted that Modi’s various roles—as a propagandist, organizer, Chief Minister of Gujarat, and now as Prime Minister—have all been centered around serving the nation.
Chhattisgarh’s Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw called for lighting ‘lamps of blessings’ on the Prime Minister’s birthday. He encouraged people across homes, villages, and cities to light lamps in honor of Modi. This year also marks 25 years since Modi took the oath as Gujarat’s Chief Minister on October 7, 2001.
