Patna, September 22 (Daily Kiran) : Chirag Paswan, the leader of the Lok Jan Shakti Party (Ram Vilas) and a Union minister, has made an appeal to all political representatives in Bihar to collaborate on relief efforts amid the ongoing disaster in the state. He emphasized that crises do not discriminate by political affiliation, urging everyone to rise above politics and stand with Bihar during this challenging time.
In a post shared on the social networking site X on Tuesday, Paswan noted that the disaster has struck the “Bihar family,” and it is crucial for all to come together to assist those affected. He stated, “The disaster has come to the Bihar family, and it does not look at political parties.”
Paswan revealed that all members of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) have decided to contribute one month’s salary to the Chief Minister‘s Relief Fund. He encouraged every representative from his party to participate in this initiative, confirming that he too is contributing. “In this time of crisis, all MPs and MLAs from the NDA have decided to donate one month’s salary to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Every representative from the Lok Jan Shakti Party (Ram Vilas) is part of this, and I am also making my contribution,” he stated.
Not limiting the initiative to the NDA, Paswan extended his appeal to opposition party representatives as well. He urged all MPs and MLAs from Bihar’s opposition parties to support the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. “I humbly request all honorable MPs and MLAs from Bihar’s opposition parties to join this initiative. Let us rise above politics and stand with Bihar,” he said.
Many regions in Bihar are currently grappling with flooding and waterlogging, significantly impacting residents. Government efforts for relief and rescue are ongoing, and the contributions from political representatives are viewed as integral to these relief efforts.
