Sanjay Nishad Critiques Akhilesh Yadavs Leadership Amid Allegations of Neglecting SC/ST Rights
Sanjay Nishad criticizes Akhilesh Yadav for neglecting SC/ST communities and prioritizing rhetoric over action in Prayagraj.

Prayagraj, September 23 (Daily Kiran) : Dr. Sanjay Nishad, national president of the Nishad Party and a minister in Yogi Adityanath’s government, has launched a sharp critique against Akhilesh Yadav, the national president of the Samajwadi Party (SP). Speaking to the media in Prayagraj, Nishad accused the SP of failing to effectively implement the SC/ST Act during its tenure. He claimed that the party’s policies marginalized the lower strata of society, leaving the poor to suffer with spoiled grains sold at half price.
In response to Yadav’s comments, Nishad stated, “He is a leader and party president. If he truly respected the Constitution, he wouldn’t have destroyed Ambedkar’s statue or altered names. He should have upheld the promotion lists under reservation policies. If he believed in the Constitution, he would have worked to integrate the marginalized into the development stream.”
Nishad emphasized that under Yadav’s leadership, the SC/ST Act was ineffective. He argued that genuine faith in the Constitution would have driven efforts to uplift the most disadvantaged and ensure social justice.
He further criticized Yadav for being perceived as focused solely on rhetoric and poster campaigns, while the poor continued to suffer from hunger and neglect. “Our government is dedicated to supporting those at the bottom of the social ladder by providing food, healthcare, and housing,” he added.
When asked about the role of advisors in governance, Nishad referenced the mythological figure Shakuni Mama, suggesting that poor advice led to failures. He remarked that illegality cannot be tolerated, noting that in 2013, there were no mosques in the fort of Nishad Raj, yet now one has been constructed. He stated, “Islam teaches that praying in a disputed location is a sin. Why worship in such places? If it remains illegal, bulldozers will act.”
Nishad concluded by asserting that inflammatory remarks from leaders only serve to incite unrest.
