Patna, August 26: Chirag Paswan, the National President of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) and Union Minister, met with protesting students in Gardanibagh, Patna, on Tuesday. The students were demonstrating for various demands. Paswan visited the protest site to listen to their issues and concerns in detail. During this meeting, the students also submitted a memorandum outlining their demands.
Following his discussion with the students, Paswan met with Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary. He brought up the issues faced by candidates of the Bihar Public Service Commission, Beltron candidates, and those involved in the Teacher Recruitment Examination-4.
Paswan emphasized that, as a responsible ally of the National Democratic Alliance, it is his duty to convey the legitimate demands of students and candidates to the government. He stated that the resolution of youth issues should be approached with dialogue and sensitivity.
On the same day, Paswan shared his thoughts on the social media platform X, expressing his distress over images of police action against candidates during the 70th Bihar Public Service Commission examination in Patna. He reiterated his commitment to ensuring that the students’ rightful demands reach the government. Upon arriving in Patna, he immediately engaged with the students at the protest site, taking their concerns seriously.
After meeting with Chief Minister Chaudhary, Paswan firmly presented the demands of the Bihar Public Service Commission candidates, Beltron candidates, and Teacher Recruitment Examination-4 candidates. He mentioned that the Chief Minister assured him that their demands would be taken seriously and that steps would be taken to ensure a prompt and positive resolution.
This meeting between Chirag Paswan and the Chief Minister is seen as a significant initiative to raise the candidates’ issues at the government level amid the ongoing student protests.
