New Delhi, March 17: Union Minister Chirag Paswan has criticized Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee regarding the announcement of the West Bengal assembly elections. He stated that the public is fed up with the TMC’s appeasement politics. A change is imminent in Bengal, and this time, the formation of an NDA government is assured.
During a media interaction in New Delhi, Paswan expressed that there is widespread discontent among the people of Bengal under Mamata Banerjee’s leadership. He highlighted the chaotic situation in the state, noting that the atmosphere created has led to significant public dissatisfaction. Therefore, he believes that the NDA is poised for a substantial victory in West Bengal. He also mentioned that the NDA will regain power in Assam and that changes are expected in Tamil Nadu as well.
Regarding the Rajya Sabha election results, Paswan stated that they were confident from the beginning that their five candidates would win without any difficulties. He attributed this to the NDA’s unity, contrasting it with the visible fragmentation within the opposition. He noted that there is discontent among the opposition, which is heading towards a major division. Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the NDA is moving forward robustly, while the opposition has openly expressed dissatisfaction in states like Odisha.
On the LPG crisis, Paswan remarked that while it is not a major concern, precautionary measures are being taken. He reiterated the need to monitor the situation closely. He emphasized that the government is keeping a constant watch on the current circumstances, especially the ongoing conflict in the Gulf region. Efforts are being made to ensure a smooth supply chain, alleviating public concerns.
In response to the opposition’s claims, he stated that their role is merely to spread rumors. He affirmed that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, India is committed to ensuring nutritional security and building a healthy nation.
