Chinese Premier Li Qiang Chairs State Council Executive Meeting

Beijing, July 1: Chinese Premier Li Qiang presided over an executive meeting of the State Council, where a report on the development of artificial intelligence was presented. The meeting also examined the current state of foreign trade and initiatives aimed at building a robust trading nation. Additionally, the “15th Five-Year Plan Action Plan for Carbon Peaking” and the “15th Five-Year Plan for National Health” were reviewed and approved.

The meeting emphasized the necessity of a deep understanding of trends in artificial intelligence development, improving supportive policies, and enhancing governance systems to firmly grasp development initiatives.

It was highlighted that maintaining good momentum in foreign trade growth is essential. This includes increasing support in areas like loans and credit insurance, expanding the import of high-quality goods and services, improving the trade support system, establishing public service platforms, and promoting balanced development in imports and exports.

The meeting also stressed the importance of leveraging carbon peaking and carbon neutrality strategies to promote economic restructuring and upgrade, thereby creating more opportunities for green economic growth.

In recent years, there has been a significant acceleration in building a healthy China, with continuous improvements in public health standards. Other matters were also discussed during the meeting.
