Beijing, February 20: The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China sent a congratulatory message on February 19 for the convening of the Ninth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK).

The message highlighted that the WPK plays a crucial role in the leadership of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) in its revolutionary and developmental efforts. For a long time, the WPK has united the people of the DPRK and led them in their continuous endeavors, achieving significant successes in advancing the socialist goals of the DPRK.

The Ninth Congress of the Workers’ Party is a significant event in the political life of both the party and the people. It will be essential for formulating and implementing strategic plans for the party’s development and the country’s economic growth in the future. We hope that under the strong leadership of General Secretary Kim Jong Un and the Central Committee of the WPK, the people of the DPRK will continue to achieve new and greater successes in their socialist construction goals.

Both China and the DPRK are socialist countries led by communist parties. In recent years, under the strategic guidance of the top leaders of both parties and nations, China-DPRK relations have entered a new historical phase. The Communist Party of China places great importance on fostering friendly and cooperative relations with the WPK. It is committed to strengthening communication and exchanges, deepening the sharing of experiences in party governance and national administration, guiding the healthy and stable development of China-DPRK relations, promoting the continuous and long-term development of both nations’ socialist goals, and contributing to regional peace, stability, development, and prosperity.
