China’s Service Trade Shows Steady Growth from January to October

Beijing, December 4 – According to data released by China’s Ministry of Commerce on December 3, China’s service trade continued to grow from January to October this year.

The total service import-export volume reached 6.58443 trillion yuan, representing a 7.5% increase compared to the same period last year. Of this, exports stood at 2.9903 trillion yuan, showing a 14.3% growth, while imports reached 3.6754 trillion yuan, recording a 2.6% increase.

According to a relevant official from the Service Trade Department of the Ministry of Commerce, the country’s service trade in the first 10 months of this year mainly displayed certain characteristics. First, knowledge-intensive service trade maintained growth. From January to October, the import and export of knowledge-intensive services reached 2.51215 trillion yuan, marking a 6.4% increase. Second, travel service exports grew rapidly. From January to October, travel services witnessed sharp growth, with imports and exports reaching 1.81254 trillion yuan, representing an 8.5% increase.
