Chinas Logistics Industry Prosperity Index Continues to Rise

Beijing, August 5: The China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing announced on August 4 that the Chinese Logistics Industry Prosperity Index for July stood at 50.4%, indicating ongoing expansion.

Examining the sub-indices, there is a noticeable improvement in market demand. The new orders index has seen a consistent increase over the past five months, with a notable acceleration in July.

From the perspective of logistics formats, the total volume index for railways, highways, and express mail services is on the rise. Meanwhile, the total volume index for diverse transportation services remains in the high prosperity category. Various sectors continue to innovate in multimodal transportation solutions, achieving further successes in areas such as rail-sea intermodal transport and data interconnection. This reflects a rapid increase in demand for multimodal transport and significant improvements in intermodal transport efficiency.

Additionally, there is further enhancement in industrial logistics. The logistics businesses for transportation equipment, communication electronics, electrical machinery, and smart home appliances are consistently growing. This has led to an increase in high-value less-than-truckload (LTL) freight by rail and full-truckload freight by road. With rising consumer demand during the summer season, inter-regional trade and freight activities have become more active.

There has been a remarkable increase in freight orders for tourism-related products, local specialties, and fresh fruits and vegetables compared to the same period last month.
