Chinas HH-200 Commercial Drone Successfully Completes First Flight

Beijing, April 15: The HH-200 commercial unmanned transport aircraft, developed by the Chinese Aviation Industry Corporation, successfully completed its maiden flight on Wednesday morning in Weinan, western China. This achievement marks a significant advancement in China’s large-scale commercial drone transport sector.

During the flight, all systems of the aircraft functioned normally, and it met its designated objectives smoothly.

The HH-200 has a standard cargo capacity of 12 cubic meters, which can be expanded to 18 cubic meters, allowing it to carry a maximum payload of 1.5 tons. The aircraft boasts a cruising speed of 310 kilometers per hour and can cover a distance of up to 2,360 kilometers.

Notably, the HH-200 is designed to adapt to various environmental conditions. It can take off and land on short runways of 500 meters and at altitudes exceeding 4,200 meters. The aircraft is capable of operating in extreme temperatures ranging from minus 40 degrees Celsius to 50 degrees Celsius, as well as in complex weather conditions.

The HH-200 is primarily intended for use in China’s border and coastal areas, cross-border cargo transport, island goods transportation in Southeast Asia, and as part of the aerial transport network for Belt and Road co-construction countries.
