China Releases National Report on Compliance with Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty

Beijing, April 22: China has released a national report detailing its compliance with the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). This report comes at a time when the global strategic security landscape is undergoing significant changes. The ideologies of the Cold War, along with hegemonism and bullying, are resurfacing, leading to regional confrontations and an arms race that negatively impacts international arms control and non-proliferation systems.

A serious threat to global strategic stability exists. Some nations have stoked factional conflicts to seek complete strategic advantages, resorting to force at every turn while withdrawing from major alliances and violating agreements. This has become a primary cause of weakening the international order and creating turmoil worldwide.

China remains committed to peaceful development, upholding shared values of humanity, and actively promoting the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind. It implements global development initiatives, security measures, civilization efforts, and governance proposals. China guarantees world peace and security while promoting global strategic balance and stability.

Moreover, China actively works to improve global security governance and plays a significant constructive role in advancing international arms control processes. It adheres to a fair, cooperative, balanced, and effective ideology of arms control, participating deeply in global governance concerning arms control. The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has pledged to continue contributing to global arms control efforts.

The report, released on April 20, outlines national measures related to nuclear disarmament, non-proliferation, and the peaceful use of nuclear energy.
