Chinas Engineering Machinery Exports Surge by 33.4%

Beijing, March 24: China’s engineering machinery industry has reported a significant increase in exports during the first two months of this year. According to the China Engineering Machinery Industry Association, the total export value of engineering machinery products reached $10.686 billion, marking a 33.4% rise compared to the same period last year.

Notably, despite the long Spring Festival holiday in February, exports exceeded $5.1 billion, which is 50.15% higher than the monthly average for 2025.

A regional analysis reveals that demand for China’s engineering machinery products has surged across all continents. Exports to Africa saw an impressive increase of 77%, while Oceania experienced a growth of 50.6% and Europe recorded a rise of 28.1%. The total export value to countries and regions involved in the ‘Belt and Road’ initiative reached $4.638 billion, accounting for 43.4% of total exports and reflecting a 24.6% increase from the previous year.

In terms of product categories, there has been a notable rise in the export of engineering machinery parts, tracked excavators, and off-road mining dump trucks. Additionally, high-level and electrified machines have emerged as new categories in exports.

An official from the industry association stated that China’s engineering machinery sector is continuously enhancing its competitiveness, and stable growth in exports is anticipated in the future. They believe this trend will accelerate the global expansion of high-quality “Made in China” products.
