
Beijing, August 20: According to the Chinese space agency, China’s Chang’e-7 lunar mission is set to be launched at an appropriate time soon.
The Chang’e-7 spacecraft, along with the Long March-5 Y14 rocket, has been successfully transferred to the launch pad at the Wenchang Space Launch Site in Hainan Province, southern China.
Prior to the launch, various checks, joint examinations, and propellant filling will be conducted.
The primary objective of the Chang’e-7 mission is to achieve a soft landing on the Moon with high precision. It aims to explore moving, bouncing, and permanently shadowed craters while monitoring the environment and resources at the Moon’s south pole. The mission also emphasizes international collaboration.
