Beijing, October 16 (Daily Kiran) : The Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has announced plans to enhance the high-level development of the artificial intelligence (AI) industry by promoting manufacturing as a central sector. This initiative seeks to integrate an application-driven approach into mainstream industrial practices.

According to the ministry, nearly 30 programs have been launched to empower new forms of industrialization through AI, facilitating coordination between supply and demand for over 5,000 enterprises.

Support has been extended to 18 national AI innovation application pilot regions, including Beijing and Qingdao, where the industry has collaborated to develop approximately 200 key technical standards related to AI. Additionally, a national AI industry investment fund of 60 billion yuan has been established.
