Chief Minister Yogi Unveils Boys and Girls Hostels at AYUSH University

Gorakhpur, July 11: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated newly constructed boys’ and girls’ hostels at the Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath State AYUSH University on Saturday evening. The boys’ hostel is named in memory of his spiritual mentor, the late Mahant Avedyanath, while the girls’ hostel is named Raptī.

During the inauguration, CM Yogi handed over the keys to the resident medical students. He also inspected the ongoing construction of an auditorium on the university campus, urging for expedited completion of the project.

After inaugurating the Bhatahat-Banssthan four-lane road at Bhatahat Mor, CM Yogi arrived at AYUSH University, where he toured the hostels and reviewed the available facilities. He instructed for mosquito nets to be installed on windows, maintenance of cleanliness, and the provision of quality food in the mess.

The Chief Minister engaged in a warm dialogue with the MD Ayurveda students residing in the hostels, encouraging them to seize the excellent opportunities in higher education in Ayurveda for a bright future. Following the hostel inauguration, he assessed the construction progress of the auditorium, receiving updates from the officials of the executing agency.

During the inspection, CM Yogi directed the agency to accelerate the construction work while ensuring quality standards. He emphasized that there should be no negligence in this regard. The Vice-Chancellor of AYUSH University, Dr. K. Ramachandra Reddy, welcomed the Chief Minister during the hostel inauguration.

It is noteworthy that AYUSH University is one of CM Yogi Adityanath’s dream projects. He laid the foundation stone on August 28, 2021, with the then President Ram Nath Kovind, and the inauguration took place on July 1, 2025, by President Droupadi Murmu.
