
Dehradun, March 24: On the auspicious occasion of Chaitra Navratri, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the Maa Kalika Temple in Paltan Bazaar, Dehradun, on Monday to perform rituals and prayers. During his visit, the Chief Minister prayed to Maa Bhagwati for the prosperity, peace, and happiness of the state.
Dhami emphasized that the Navratri festival symbolizes strength, devotion, and faith. He noted that this celebration brings positive energy, self-confidence, and a message of unity and harmony within society. He sought blessings from Maa Kalika for the well-being and prosperous life of the residents of Uttarakhand.
The Chief Minister reiterated the state government’s commitment to overall development and the continuous effort to benefit all sections of society through welfare schemes. He expressed confidence that with the blessings of Maa Bhagwati, the state would achieve new milestones in development.
A large number of devotees were present at the temple complex during this occasion. The Chief Minister interacted with the attendees and extended his best wishes for Navratri.
Addressing the devotees, Dhami highlighted the unprecedented efforts made under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for the restoration and development of religious and cultural sites across the country. He stated that India has entered a new era of preserving and revitalizing its cultural heritage.
He remarked that the construction of the grand Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya is a symbol of India’s faith, devotion, and cultural pride. Similarly, extensive work is being carried out under the Badrinath Master Plan for the redevelopment of Badrinath Dham, while the reconstruction efforts in Kedarnath after the disaster have set a global example.
The Chief Minister affirmed that the state government is continuously striving to preserve Uttarakhand’s cultural heritage, traditions, and religious identity. He clarified that there would be no demographic changes in the state, emphasizing that protecting the original culture and identity is a top priority.
Dhami stated that with the blessings of Maa Bhagwati, India is progressing rapidly, and the contribution of all citizens is essential to achieve the goal of a ‘Developed India’ by 2047. He urged the residents to actively participate in realizing this objective.
Cabinet Minister Khajan Das, local representatives, and administrative officials were also present during the event.
