Kolkata, March 28: Central Minister Dharmendra Pradhan targeted West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday. In a post on the social media platform X, he stated that a government has been in power in West Bengal for the past 15 years that has not only protected but institutionalized infiltration, political violence, appeasement, and corruption.
He wrote that under Mamata Banerjee’s leadership, the Trinamool Congress has become synonymous with fear, chaos, and distrust. Public confidence has completely eroded. This election is not just about changing power; it is a matter of national security. The borders of Bengal are directly linked to the country’s security, and the failed policies here have exacerbated this challenge.
Pradhan noted that in the name of ‘Sonar Bangla,’ the government has deceived the public with misgovernance marked by syndicates, cut money, and corruption. Rising crimes against women, unemployed youth, struggling farmers, a crumbling healthcare system, and declining education standards are becoming the identity of Bengal. Under TMC rule, chaos, disorder, and economic decline have pushed Bengal backward.
He emphasized that this reality was presented today in Kolkata when Home Minister Amit Shah released a white paper. This document is a powerful expression of the public’s anger, pain, and determination for change in Bengal.
The announcement for the Bengal Assembly elections has been made. Political parties are targeting each other. On March 19, BJP candidate Suvendu Adhikari made a bold claim regarding the Bhawanipur Assembly seat, asserting that he would defeat Mamata Banerjee by 25,000 to 30,000 votes.
Suvendu Adhikari received a warm welcome upon reaching Bhawanipur. With strong public support, he appeared quite pleased. This was his first visit after being declared a candidate in his constituency.
He stated that not only Bhawanipur but all of Bengal is turning towards the BJP. The wave of PM Modi’s policies is evident everywhere, and the BJP’s wave of change is visible all around.
