New Delhi, February 18: The second day of the CBSE board examinations took place today, with Class 12 students sitting for the Physical Education exam. Meanwhile, Class 10 students participated in the Home Science exam. These examinations are being conducted across India and in several other countries.

Over 8,000 examination centers have been established nationwide for the CBSE board exams. The exams are being conducted securely at these centers. The Class 10 and 12 board exams commenced together on February 17. According to the schedule, the exams started at 10:30 AM. The board has reported that the examinations are proceeding smoothly.

So far, there have been no reports of stress or any unpleasant incidents at any examination center. Devendra Agarwal, a Class 12 student from South Delhi, mentioned that he left home early due to rain, fearing that heavy downpours might delay his arrival at the exam center. He noted that slow traffic could lead to longer travel times.

Another student, Vikas, who lives in Laxmi Nagar, shared similar concerns. He explained that heavy rain typically causes waterlogging on the roads, resulting in traffic jams. To avoid any issues, he left home at 8:30 AM for the exam center. To assist students, several schools made special arrangements at the exam centers, allowing students early entry, although they were permitted to enter the main premises only at the scheduled time.

It is noteworthy that the CBSE board exams began on Tuesday in India and 26 other countries. More than 4.3 million students are participating in these exams for Class 10 and 12. On the first day, Class 10 students took the Mathematics exam, while Class 12 students sat for the Biotechnology exam. According to the CBSE, a total of 4,367,870 students are enrolled for the board exams this year, with over 2.5 million in Class 10 and 1,859,551 in Class 12.

Class 10 students will next take exams in Data Science, Beauty and Wellness, and Marketing on February 20. Class 12 students will sit for Engineering Graphics, Dance Forms, and Horticulture on February 19, followed by Physics on February 20. This year, the board has introduced several significant changes to the examination system, including the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system for Class 12.
