CBFC Faces Complaint Over Sar Ke Chunar Teri Sar Ke Song: Call for Action Against Obscenity

New Delhi, March 17: The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has received a serious complaint regarding the recently released song “Sar Ke Chunar Teri Sar Ke” from the film “KD: The Devil.”

The complainant has labeled the song as extremely obscene, offensive, and a gross insult to women’s dignity. The film features Nora Fatehi and Sanjay Dutt in lead roles, and the song is available in both Hindi and its original Kannada version.

The complaint states that the lyrics of the song cross all acceptable boundaries of decency and portray women merely as objects. This content promotes a disrespectful and objectifying mindset towards women in society under the guise of entertainment.

The complainant expressed concern that such songs have a profound negative impact on young audiences, normalizing disrespect and disregard for women. This reflects a serious decline in Indian culture and moral values. The complainant has demanded immediate and stringent action from the CBFC.

The letter emphasized that this issue extends beyond just one song; it is a broader concern related to women’s dignity, public morality, and the safety of the younger generation. As the statutory authority regulating film content, the CBFC must avoid approving or allowing the dissemination of such material without proper scrutiny.

The complainant hopes that the CBFC will intervene swiftly in this matter, setting a strong precedent while fulfilling its responsibilities to society.

This complaint comes at a time when another song from the film “KD: The Devil” has already drawn attention from both the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and the National Commission for Women (NCW).
