
New Delhi, October 8 (Daily Kiran) : New Delhi is observing the death anniversary of ‘Bharat Ratna’ Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan today. Renowned leaders, including Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, have paid their respects to Narayan.
Nitin Gadkari took to social media platform X, expressing, “On the death anniversary of the founder of the Total Revolution movement, ‘Bharat Ratna’ Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan, I offer my humble homage. He dedicated his entire life to public service and became a powerful voice against chaos and injustice during the Emergency. His thoughts will always inspire the nation.”
Yogi Adityanath also honored Narayan, stating, “He organized the masses against tyranny during the Emergency and led a decisive struggle for the restoration of democracy. His selfless life dedicated to the nation and democracy will continue to inspire public welfare.”
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami praised Narayan as a great freedom fighter and a staunch guardian of democratic values. He noted, “Through the Total Revolution, he fought for the protection of democracy, public participation, and social change, marking a significant chapter in Indian democratic history. His life and thoughts dedicated to national service and democratic values will always be a source of inspiration.”
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma also paid tribute, stating that Narayan’s lifelong struggle and thoughts for nation-building and public welfare will continue to motivate everyone.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini wrote, “His struggle for democratic values, social justice, and systemic change will always inspire the citizens. His courage and sacrifice during the Emergency added a crucial chapter to our democratic history. His call for ‘Total Revolution’ continues to inspire social awareness and public participation.”
Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary expressed his respect, stating, “On the death anniversary of the great freedom fighter and proponent of Total Revolution, I offer my humble homage. His struggle and dedication for democracy, public interest, and social change will always inspire the nation.”
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde honored Narayan, saying, “On the death anniversary of the Bharat Ratna awardee, senior freedom fighter, and leader of the Sarvodaya movement, I pay my heartfelt tribute.”
Union Minister Prataprao Jadhav also shared a post honoring Narayan, stating, “I humbly pay my respects to the great freedom fighter, Bharat Ratna Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan.”
Pankaj Chaudhary, the Union Minister of State for Finance and President of the Uttar Pradesh BJP, noted, “On the death anniversary of the vigilant guardian of democracy and the initiator of ‘Total Revolution,’ I offer my humble tribute. His vibrant life dedicated to nation-building and the protection of democratic values will always guide us.”
Bihar Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha wrote, “On the death anniversary of the Indian freedom fighter, socialist thinker, and great leader, Bharat Ratna Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan, I offer my heartfelt homage. His dedicated life for national service, the protection of democracy, and public interest will always inspire us.”
Former Bihar Chief Minister and JD(U) National President Nitish Kumar also paid tribute, writing, “On the death anniversary of the pioneer of Total Revolution, renowned freedom fighter, and staunch socialist, I offer my humble homage.”
