The first goal came from 18-year-old Kerim Alajbegovic, who struck a stunning shot from outside the box in the 29th minute, giving his team a 1-0 lead. Just five minutes later, Qatar’s goalkeeper Sultan Albrake inadvertently scored an own goal while attempting to clear a cross from Edin Dzeko, doubling Bosnia and Herzegovina’s advantage.
