Jaipur, 9 December (Daily Kiran) – Rajasthan High Court received bomb explosion threats again on Tuesday, marking the second consecutive day of such warnings. Earlier threats were also reported on Monday, 8 December, 5 December, and 31 October via emails claiming bomb attacks.
Following the latest email threat, senior officials were informed, and the entire High Court premises were evacuated as a precautionary measure. Judges suspended their hearings midway and were moved to the nearby Legal Services Authority building for safety.
High Court police station in-charge Sumer Singh stated that after receiving the bomb alert, the bomb disposal squad and dog squad conducted a thorough search of every corner of the court complex. Judicial staff, lawyers, and parties involved in cases were evacuated from the main court area. Fire brigade and ambulance services were also stationed on-site to manage any emergency.
Prahlad Sharma, former president of the High Court Bar Association Jaipur, said security arrangements at the High Court are adequate. However, there have been four bomb threat emails in the past one and a half months. Investigating agencies have yet to trace the origin of these emails. Each time a threat is received, court hearings are suspended, and the premises cleared, causing disruption and raising concerns over safety.
