Body of Young Woman Found by River in Jharkhand Raises Murder Suspicions

Khunti, February 11: A shocking discovery was made in the Khunti district of Jharkhand, where the body of an unidentified young woman was found by the Fulku River in Dodma village on Wednesday morning. Local residents, out for their morning walk, stumbled upon the body and promptly notified the police.

The news of the incident quickly spread, creating a state of panic in nearby villages. Upon receiving the report, Mukesh Yadav, the officer in charge of the Torpa police station, along with Sub-Inspector Roshan Khakha and armed personnel, arrived at the scene. The police cordoned off the area, took possession of the body, and initiated a preliminary investigation. Essential evidence has been collected from the site, and police are currently questioning local residents.

According to police sources, initial observations suggest that the young woman may have been murdered. There are suspicions that she was strangled with her own dupatta. However, police officials have stated that it would be premature to draw any conclusions before the post-mortem report is released. The body has been sent for autopsy, and authorities are awaiting the medical report to determine the actual cause of death. As of the time of writing, the identity of the woman remains unknown.
