Mumbai, April 10: Former FBI supervisory agent James Gagliano revealed to Fox News that prosecutors will utilize body cam footage from Tiger Woods’s arrest during his upcoming DUI trial.
In response to the trial news, America’s Newsroom anchor Bill Hemmer stated, “Prosecutors are seeking Tiger Woods’s prescription records. They requested details including the date and time the prescription was filled, the type of medication, the number of pills prescribed, dosage amounts, special instructions for use, the date of the next refill, and all relevant warnings, including those related to operating a motor vehicle.”
Hemmer then inquired, “Why is this information crucial? I understand two pills were found in his pocket.”
Gagliano explained, “In this case, Tiger Woods declined to undergo any tests to assess his impairment. In standard DWI or DUI cases, a toxicology report is essential. It helps determine the level of impairment. We know he wasn’t drinking alcohol, but this situation involves pills, making this information vital for assessing his potential guilt in driving under the influence.”
When Hemmer asked, “Is it a case of the officer’s word against his?” Gagliano responded, “That’s the advantage of body-worn cameras, which most police departments across the country now use.”
He added, “As we can see in the footage of Woods’s arrest, it allows viewers to assess whether someone appears impaired. While this footage alone isn’t enough to charge someone, it provides probable cause for further testing, such as blood analysis. This evidence will certainly be presented at trial.”
