BJP Responds to Akhilesh Yadavs Allegations, Asserts Action Against Criminals is Impartial

Lucknow, May 26: The BJP has countered allegations made by Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav regarding fake encounters under the Yogi government. Uttar Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and Minister Aseem Arun stated that law and order in the state is robust, despite Yadav’s claims to the contrary.

Deputy Chief Minister Maurya emphasized that the politics of appeasement towards Muslims is diminishing, which he believes is why Yadav is making such statements. He asserted that the primary focus of the UP government is to maintain law and order. According to him, those involved in encounters are criminals, and actions are taken without discrimination based on religion, caste, or community. He stressed that the government is firm against criminals, regardless of their background.

Minister Aseem Arun also responded sharply to Yadav’s accusations. He noted significant improvements in law and order over the past nine years under the Yogi government, attributing this success to the increased morale of the police force. Arun explained that no police officer leaves home intending to engage in an encounter; however, when criminals fire upon police, they must respond accordingly.

He highlighted that the number of criminals willing to attack police has significantly decreased. He pointed out that the law grants police the right to use appropriate force in self-defense, and actions are taken within this framework.

Arun claimed that the strict measures by the Yogi government have led to better law enforcement and opened avenues for development. He suggested that the Samajwadi Party is uncomfortable with these advancements, which is why they continue to question the government.

It is noteworthy that Akhilesh Yadav accused the Yogi government of orchestrating fake encounters, alleging that a climate of fear and dominance is being fostered in the state, targeting the PDA. He stated that every encounter sanctioned by the government is under suspicion and lamented the loss of brotherhood in society, replaced by an atmosphere of hatred and fear.
