Saharanpur, September 22 (Daily Kiran) : Nitin Naveen, the National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), made a significant visit to Saharanpur on September 22, 2026, as preparations intensify for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections in 2027. This marked Naveen’s first trip to Saharanpur since assuming his leadership role, and he was warmly welcomed by party officials and enthusiastic workers throughout the area.
Upon arriving near a toll plaza, a large crowd of supporters greeted Naveen with flowers and chants. Both he and Uttar Pradesh BJP President Pankaj Chaudhary stood in their vehicle’s sunroof, acknowledging the cheers and waves from the crowd. The excitement among the party workers was palpable.
To celebrate Naveen’s visit, many supporters took to the streets on motorcycles, forming a convoy heading towards the Nagal and Kolki tolls. After his arrival, Naveen planned to pay his respects at the Guru Ravidas Temple. He was also scheduled to dine with party worker Ajab Singh and his family later in the day.
In the afternoon, Naveen will hold a meeting at the Sarovar Portico Hotel on Ambala Road with former MPs, MLAs, ministers, and MLCs. This gathering will focus on strategies for the upcoming elections and organizational matters. Following this, a meeting with district chairpersons, secretaries, and regional officials is expected to address strengthening the organization and grassroots activities in preparation for the elections.
Former MP Raghav Lakhanpal expressed that there is considerable enthusiasm among party workers regarding Naveen’s visit. He emphasized the importance of discussing strategies to fortify the organization ahead of the elections.
Earlier, as Naveen traveled from Meerut to Saharanpur, he received a warm reception from BJP workers in Muzaffarnagar along the Delhi-Dehradun National Highway. Party members, including former Union Minister Dr. Sanjeev Balyan and state ministers Kapil Dev Agarwal and Narendra Kashyap, were present to greet him.
During the reception in Muzaffarnagar, Naveen reiterated that the BJP is fully prepared for the 2027 elections, expressing confidence in the party’s ability to secure a majority. He highlighted the party’s strong performances in previous elections while acknowledging the setbacks faced in 2024.
As the day concluded, Naveen was set to return to Delhi, leaving behind a motivated cadre ready to face the challenges of the upcoming electoral battle.
