New Delhi, February 23: BJP MP Manan Kumar Mishra has accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of orchestrating a shameful incident during the recent AI Summit. Mishra emphasized that while protesting is a form of freedom of expression, it must remain within certain limits. He stated that actions that embarrass the nation on a global stage cannot be justified as free expression.
During a program on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized the Congress party for its actions that allegedly brought shame to the country. Responding to media inquiries, Mishra noted that the Prime Minister addressed the issue because the entire nation is outraged and saddened by it.
Mishra described the incident, involving a few Congress members, as extremely disgraceful. He claimed it was a deliberate act instigated by Rahul Gandhi, aimed at disrupting a significant summit that was under global scrutiny. He accused Gandhi and his party of plotting this incident.
The MP highlighted that the summit, which is the largest of its kind in the world, has generated excitement across the country, especially among the youth. He expressed optimism about India’s future, stating that by 2047, the nation aims to become a global leader. He praised the Prime Minister for focusing on technological and scientific advancements and strengthening international relations.
Mishra reiterated that regardless of Congress’s defense, true freedom of expression does not entail forgetting one’s dignity and embarrassing the nation on an international platform. He asserted that the law and constitution do not permit such actions. Protests must be conducted within legal boundaries, especially during a globally significant event led by India.
