Mumbai, September 6 (Daily Kiran) : Jagdambika Pal, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), recently targeted Congress during an interview in Mumbai, addressing various issues raised by Congress leaders. He specifically responded to Rashid Alvi’s comments about the film “Hanuman Ansh,” Rahul Gandhi’s allegations regarding the Special Investigation Report (SIR) in Maharashtra, and the proposed new marriage contract by the Uttarakhand Waqf Board.
Pal stated that the opposition lacks any substantial issues. He highlighted that during discussions on women’s reservation and the 33% reservation bill for good governance, Congress and other opposition parties disrupted parliamentary proceedings. “They opposed the bill and voted against it, rendering the entire monsoon session ineffective,” he said. Pal noted that Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla made several attempts to maintain order, even allowing Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav to speak, but the opposition continued to obstruct the proceedings.
Turning to Rahul Gandhi’s accusations regarding the SIR, Pal emphasized that it is an ongoing process. “The Election Commission revises the voter list annually. If someone has passed away, their name must be removed. If a name has transferred to another location, it must also be deleted. The opposition questions this process, but these concerns do not resonate with the public,” he explained. He added that the public has rejected the opposition’s tactics, which often involve protests at various locations, including the Prime Minister’s residence and Parliament Street.
Pal also referenced Prime Minister Modi’s address during the Teacher’s Day event, where he spoke to students about their future and how the new education policy can aid them in becoming job creators. “Rahul Gandhi’s frustration is evident, as he attempts to mislead the nation,” Pal remarked.
On the topic of waqf law, he mentioned that a Joint Parliamentary Committee was established, including leaders from all parties, to discuss and pass the law. “Today, even the country’s minorities acknowledge that this law will protect waqf properties, and they are grateful to PM Modi for it,” he stated.
Regarding Alvi’s remarks, Pal expressed that Congress lacks both historical knowledge and an understanding of Indian culture. “Their politicization of revered figures like Neem Karoli Baba is unfortunate. People from Lucknow and across the country revere him. Congress is engaged in vote-bank politics and shows no faith in Sanatan values. We must respect the sentiments of millions who hold Sanatan and Hinduism dear,” he concluded.
