BJP Leaders Criticize Mamata Banerjee, Claiming She Aims to Bring Outsiders for Elections

Kolkata, April 7: BJP leaders have endorsed the removal of over 9 million names from the voter list in West Bengal, asserting that the Mamata Banerjee government intended to bring outsiders into the state for elections.

BJP candidate Arjun Singh stated, “Names of deceased voters, duplicate voters, Rohingyas, and Bangladeshi Muslims have been removed. The Election Commission has worked to create a clean and accurate voter list.”

He accused the Mamata government of prioritizing outsiders over local issues, aiming to build a vote bank and win elections through unfair means. “They are unaware that such tactics will no longer work, as unqualified individuals cannot vote,” he added.

Singh expressed gratitude to the Election Commission for establishing a clean voter list, which he claimed has unsettled Mamata Banerjee, prompting her to blame the Commission. “This time, fair elections are on the horizon, and the Mamata government is set to lose power,” he asserted.

Jagannath Chatterjee, BJP candidate from the Suri seat, predicted that the BJP would form the government in West Bengal. He mentioned that the upcoming rally by PM Modi in Birbhum on April 9 would showcase a shift in public sentiment. “The people trust PM Narendra Modi, which is why they are supporting the BJP. Our government will be formed next month,” he stated.

BJP MP Nishikant Dubey remarked, “We are here for Arjun Singh, who claimed that they would win all seven seats in Barrackpore. We are determined to form the government here. The leadership of Bengal should rest in the hands of its people, who will decide whether to keep TMC or Congress in opposition.”
