BJP Criticizes Akhilesh Yadav for Alleged Political Opportunism in Ayodhya Visit

BJP leaders have attacked Akhilesh Yadav for not visiting the Ram Temple during his Ayodhya trip, accusing him of political opportunism.

Lucknow, October 9 (Daily Kiran) : BJP leaders have launched a fierce critique of Akhilesh Yadav, president of the Samajwadi Party, following his recent visit to Ayodhya, where he notably did not visit the Ram Temple. This incident has ignited a debate over his political motivations.

Brijesh Pathak, the Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, stated, “Akhilesh Yadav engages only in appeasement politics. No matter how much he tries to don symbols of Hindu culture, his focus remains solely on appeasing the Muslim vote bank. The Samajwadi Party has never acknowledged Sanatan culture.”

Narendra Kashyap, a minister in the Uttar Pradesh government, commented on Yadav’s challenge to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to contest from Ayodhya, calling it a reflection of Yadav’s arrogance. “His hubris has led the Samajwadi Party to its downfall,” Kashyap remarked.

BJP legislator Rajni Tiwari added, “As long as he does not receive God’s blessings, he will not be able to witness the divine. He lacks divine grace, which is why he is neither wise nor has the opportunity to pay his respects.”

Minister Dayashankar Singh accused Yadav of disrespecting Sanatan values. He pointed out that Yadav’s father had previously ordered violence against Ram devotees, suggesting that Yadav’s actions in Ayodhya were a continuation of that disrespect.

Minister Jai Veer Singh noted that Yadav’s agitation stems from a state of despair and frustration. Om Prakash Rajbhar alleged that Yadav chose not to visit the Ram Temple to appease Muslim voters. In response, JD(U) General Secretary Shyam Rajak expressed his belief in all religions, stating, “For me, every sacred site is equally holy. Pitting these places against each other is detrimental to democracy and increases societal bitterness.”
