New Delhi, August 3: Following the results of by-elections in three states, Nitin Naveen, the National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), shared the party’s response on the social media platform ‘X’. He stated that the party respects the mandate and will engage in self-reflection where expected outcomes were not achieved, preparing to re-enter the field with renewed energy.
In his post on ‘X’, Naveen expressed, “We accept the mandate from today’s three assembly by-elections. Heartfelt thanks to the people of Manjalpur for expressing their trust in the BJP. Congratulations to all dedicated workers and officials of the BJP for this victory.”
He attributed the BJP’s win in Manjalpur to the hard work of party workers and the trust of the public. Naveen emphasized that this victory reflects the ongoing faith of the people in development and good governance policies. Party workers reached out to households to inform them about the central and state government schemes, resulting in today’s outcomes.
However, the party faced defeats in Bihar’s Bankipur and Madhya Pradesh‘s Datia seats. Regarding these losses, Nitin Naveen remarked, “We did not receive the expected mandate in Bankipur and Datia. We will seriously reflect on the election results in both areas and continue to work tirelessly to strengthen the public’s trust with renewed energy and resolve.”
It is noteworthy that the Bankipur assembly seat became vacant after Nitin Naveen’s resignation. This seat, held by the BJP since 1995, has drawn significant attention in state politics following the by-election results.
Prashant Kishor, the founder of the Jan Suraj party, emerged victorious from the Bankipur assembly seat, marking the party’s first win. Kishor received 63,203 votes, while BJP candidate Neeraj Kumar Sinha garnered 44,250 votes. RJD candidate Rekha Gupta finished third with only 14,085 votes.
