New Delhi, August 3: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) faced defeats in the by-elections for the Bankipur and Datia assembly seats in Bihar and Madhya Pradesh, respectively. Following this setback, Akhilesh Yadav, the national president of the Samajwadi Party (SP), took a jab at the BJP. He remarked that those who are arrogant enough to challenge divine forces have been humbled by them.
Yadav referenced a viral video featuring BJP national president Nitin Nabin during a roadshow in Uttar Pradesh, where a man dressed as Hanuman was seen dancing. This video has been widely circulated on social media by opposition supporters in light of the BJP’s recent electoral losses.
In a post on the social media platform X, Yadav stated, “Those who are arrogant enough to challenge God have been brought down to earth.” He added that those who consider themselves above divine authority have been metaphorically thrown out of a moving vehicle, and their inflated egos have been deflated. This outcome reflects the unity of the youth and the anger of their parents against the BJP’s alleged misdeeds, including “vote theft,” “paper theft,” “donation corruption,” “job theft,” “reservation theft,” “commission corruption,” “atrocities on PDA,” “extreme corruption,” “inflation,” “government-sanctioned adulteration,” and the “disrespect of mothers and daughters.” According to Yadav, the BJP has deceived the public’s trust and faith through these actions.
He further suggested that BJP members might soon demand resignations from their own ranks, questioning how they can rely on those who have lost their own constituencies. Yadav emphasized that this defeat belongs to those who were elected or imposed on the organization. He noted that no one can now claim that “resignations do not happen in the BJP.”
The most pleased with this outcome, he claimed, are those in Uttar Pradesh who were deliberately given state-level positions instead of national ones due to their association with the PDA. They are now smiling and asking, “Is it 5 or 7?” The public is also voicing skepticism, stating that if the national president couldn’t win his assembly seat, the state president is unlikely to succeed either. This represents a double loss for the BJP.
Yadav concluded by stating that the BJP’s defeat signifies the beginning of change. Even their most secure and traditional seats are no longer safe. The BJP’s crisis now extends beyond loss; it involves the challenge of finding candidates willing to accept their tickets. He extended congratulations to all victorious candidates.
