Rajiv Ranjan Comments on Bankipur Election Results: Prashant Kishor Must Learn from NDA for Long-Term Success

Patna, August 3: Rajiv Ranjan, the national spokesperson for the Janata Dal (United), stated that Prashant Kishor’s victory in the Bankipur elections has ended the BJP’s 30-year dominance in the region. He described this outcome as a significant political shift.

In a recent conversation, Ranjan congratulated Kishor on his win but emphasized that the people of Bankipur have high expectations. As their elected representative, Kishor should focus on addressing the everyday issues faced by the public rather than making grand statements. He must work on resolving matters that impact people’s lives and fulfill the responsibilities entrusted to him.

Ranjan noted that there was no significant upheaval regarding the government’s existence or the assembly’s structure, which may have contributed to voter apathy. Kishor likely benefited from the lower voter turnout. He remarked that the voters in the Bankipur area are more developed than those in many other regions.

He highlighted that Bankipur has undergone significant transformation during Nitish Kumar‘s tenure, a development that Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has continued. Regardless of the election results, the Janata Dal (United), the Bharatiya Janata Party, and all coalition parties will analyze the outcomes. Reviews are essential whether they win or lose.

Ranjan stated, “Prashant Kishor has always maintained that no political party has a permanent stronghold. Keeping that in mind, if he wants to rule the hearts of the people and remain there for a long time, he must learn from the NDA.”

He pointed out that the NDA has held a monopoly in this assembly constituency for 30-31 years. Kishor needs to develop the capability to achieve something similar and overcome his image as a boastful leader.
